Juventus 'view Gabriel Jesus as priority transfer target'

Juventus view Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus as a leading transfer target this summer, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Juventus are reportedly determined to bring Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus to Turin during this summer's transfer window.

The Brazil international has been with the Citizens since January 2017, scoring 82 times and registering 34 assists in 195 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Jesus made 42 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side last term - starting 22 times in the Premier League - but he was not a regular in the latter stages of the 2020-21 Champions League.

The South American would drop down the pecking order if a new striker arrived at the Etihad Stadium, and he continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

According to Tuttosport, Juve chiefs met on Saturday to discuss transfer targets and decided that Jesus was their first-choice option in the final third of the field.

The 24-year-old, who was in action for his country at this summer's Copa America, only has two years left to run on his current deal with the Premier League champions.
