Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn plays down Kai Havertz, Leroy Sane moves

:Headline: Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn plays down Kai Havertz, Leroy Sane moves:
Director Oliver Kahn plays down suggestions that Bayern Munich could sign Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz and Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Bayern Munich director Oliver Kahn has attempted to play down speculation regarding bids for Kai Havertz and Leroy Sane.

Despite the uncertainty over the next transfer window, it has been claimed that Bayern will prioritise bids for the Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City players.

However, Kahn is less optimistic about the completion of either deal, claiming that he is "sceptical" about any big-money transfers occurring ahead of next season.

Speaking to Sky90, the former goalkeeper said: "At the moment there are completely different things to be managed. If the market starts up at all, I'm rather sceptical.

"We're looking at everything at the moment, like many European clubs. I have not found that the clubs are ready to make large transfers.

"Of course Havertz is a top talent, a great player, but that doesn't mean that Bayern are interested in all these good players. He has an ongoing contract until 2022.

"Sane has an injury behind him, trying to find a connection bit by bit. I think it's difficult today to talk about players who have a valid employment contract."

In order to sign the duo, Bayern face shelling out in excess of £100m, an outlay which would likely need to be offset by at least one player sale. body check tags ::
