Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly undecided over his future with the European champions.
Phillips made 234 appearances for Leeds United before he completed a move to Man City in the summer of 2022 for an initial £42m fee.
The 27-year-old saw the early stages of his Man City career hampered by a shoulder problem, before he was labelled "overweight" by Pep Guardiola on his return from the 2022 World Cup.
After failing to force his way into the Man City side, Phillips finished the 2022-23 season with just two Premier League starts.
The England international was linked with a move away in the summer, but he was determined to remain at the Etihad Stadium and fight for his place in the side.
However, he has continued to struggle for playing time in the opening stages of the 2023-24 season, featuring in just five competitive matches.
The midfielder's only start of the season took place in September's 1-0 away defeat to Newcastle United in the third round of the EFL Cup.
There was a belief that Phillips would be presented with a run in the side following Rodri's three-game ban, but instead, Guardiola opted to utilise the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes and Rico Lewis.
With Phillips still finding regular minutes hard to come by, there has been speculation linking him with a move away in January.
According to The Mirror, the former Leeds man is still yet to decide whether to leave the Premier League winners during the winter transfer window.
Although he remains undecided over his Man City future, the report claims that it is growing increasingly likely that he will seek a move away.
Phillips is wary that a failure to secure regular game time could see his place in the England squad come under threat ahead of Euro 2024.
Should he decide to leave Man City in January, a loan move would be the most likely scenario, although the prospect of a permanent departure has not been ruled out.
Newcastle and Everton were both linked with Phillips over the summer, and there is a possibility that they could renew their interest in January.
German champions Bayern Munich are also believed to be considering a potential move as they look to bring in a new central midfielder. body check tags ::
