Kolo Toure has claimed that he wants to "fight" for his place at Manchester City this season.
Despite featuring heavily in pre-season, the Ivory Coast defender has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium in recent weeks.
However, the 31-year-old has insisted that he does not hold a grudge against manager Roberto Mancini.
"I want to stay, I want to fight for my place," Toure told BBC Sport.
"It's difficult, I was a key player. I've done everything but that will not change the manager's decision.
"I'm not angry with the manager. If someone doesn't want me then there will be another club that does."
Toure has recently been linked with moves to both Italy and Turkey.
