Former Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has insisted that Wilfried Bony would be a perfect signing for the club.
The Swansea City striker is reportedly closing in on a £27m switch to the reigning Premier League champions.
Liverpool defender Toure is currently working alongside Bony in Abu Dhabi, as the duo prepare to represent the Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations.
"He's a great player and knows the Premier League very well," Toure told the Manchester Evening News.
"I am sure he is going to do a great job for City because he is very strong, a decent guy and a hard worker. He is perfect for them.
"The good thing is he's staying in the same country, so he will not need a period of adaptation. It's going to be a great move for him."
Swansea spent £12m to bring Bony to England from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013.
