Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott has expressed his wish to sign a contract extension with the club.
The 30-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal at the Etihad, and has been linked with a move away this summer.
However, Lescott says that he doesn't want to leave the Manchester outfit and is hoping that he can extend his stay at the club.
"I have expressed a number of times that nothing more would please me than to sign an extension," said Lescott.
"If that negotiating ever happens, I will be there with my pen ready to sign."
Lescott is hoping to be a part of England's squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil next year should they qualify.
