Premier League champions Manchester City are the only club who are interested in signing Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to a report.
The 36-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his contract and the Serie A club are willing to offload him, as they look to remove his £500,000-a-week salary from their wage bill.
Ronaldo is also believed to be desperate to leave Turin and his agent Jorge Mendes has been looking for a club who are prepared to buy out his £21.4m-a-year contract.
According to Sky Sports News, City are the only club in the race to sign Ronaldo at present, though they are only interested in bringing him back to the Premier League on a free transfer.
Pep Guardiola's side have yet to make a formal bid to Juventus, but they are understood to have offered the Portuguese international a two-year contract worth £12.8m per season.
After missing out on signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, City are now looking at alternatives and will push for Ronaldo if they believe the deal makes sense from a sporting and financial perspective.
The Citizens are allegedly happy with the business they have done this summer, with the £100m signing of Jack Grealish their only purchase so far, and Guardiola would be satisfied with his squad if no more players are recruited before August 31. body check tags ::
