Manchester City may reportedly be preparing to make an approach for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo during the summer transfer window.

While City have been the standout team in the Premier League this season, Pep Guardiola may look to strengthen in several areas at the end of 2021-22.

According to Sport, there appears to be the possibility of City making a move for Uruguay international Araujo.

The report claims that City boss Pep Guardiola was seen having dinner with the player's agent Edmundo Kabchi, something which will inevitably add to speculation regarding the centre-back's future.

Araujo currently has just 17 months remaining on his contract and Barcelona are keen to agree fresh terms with a player who has impressed since his introduction to the first team.

The 22-year-old, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, has made 15 starts and six substitute appearances in La Liga and the Champions League this season. body check tags ::
