Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla defender Diego Carlos at some point during 2020.
While Pep Guardiola has frequently insisted that City will not be active in January, question marks remain due to the club's inconsistent form in the Premier League.
Regardless of whether the English giants do business in January, reports in Spain suggest that Guardiola is an admirer of Carlos.
Despite only leaving Nantes for Sevilla during the summer, the 26-year-old has already established himself as a key man at the La Liga outfit.
Another move at the beginning of 2020 appears unlikely, although it is hinted that City are ready to battle Real Madrid for the Brazilian's signature.
Carlos still has four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
