Manchester City have reportedly contacted the representatives of Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans to discuss a potential move to the Etihad Stadium in this summer's transfer window.
Tielemans spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Leicester City, contributing three goals and five assists in 13 Premier League appearances for the Foxes.
Leicester are said to be unwilling to pay £40m to make the deal permanent, though, which has led to speculation that the likes of Manchester United could make a move.
According to The Sun, though, City have made a strong play to sign the Belgium international after making contact with his representatives to discuss a switch to the English champions.
Tielemans managed five goals in 20 Ligue 1 games for Monaco in the first half of the 2018-19 season.
