Manchester City will reportedly entertain offers in excess of £40m for goalkeeper Ederson in this summer's transfer window.
The 30-year-old has been Pep Guardiola's undisputed number one shot-stopper ever since he made the move to the Etihad Stadium from Benfica in 2017.
Ederson has kept 155 clean sheets in 332 appearances for Man City across all tournaments and has won a total of 17 trophies during his seven-year spell at the club.
The Brazil international has won more titles than any other goalkeeper in Premier League history, overtaking Peter Schmeichel, after celebrating his sixth triumph with the Citizens last season.
Ederson has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad and remains a key figure in Guardiola's squad, but speculation over a potential summer exit has surfaced in recent weeks.
Ederson considering move away from Man City?
Recent reports claim that it is a "possibility" that Ederson could leave Man City if a "good proposal" is presented to him this summer.
Saudi Pro League clubs including Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr are said to hold an interest in Ederson and are willing to pay around £25m to lure him to the Middle East.
It was initially understood that Man City have been keen to retain Ederson's services and were not intending to delve into the transfer market for a replacement goalkeeper.
Ederson would allegedly be forced to submit a transfer request if he wishes to seek pastures new this summer, but Man City's stance on the future of their No.31 appears to have changed.
Man City set Ederson asking price
According to Football Insider, Man City are now 'seriously considering' selling Ederson this summer and would look to accept offers in excess of £40m.
The report adds that the Citizens will not stand in the player's way if he expresses his desire to leave and pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Man City are said to feel well-equipped in the goalkeeping department following the emergence of number two Stefan Ortega, who has impressed when called upon in the absence of Ederson.
Ortega is keen to establish himself as a first-choice goalkeeper and could be the man tasked with filling the gloves of Ederson if the club opt to recruit a new backup goalkeeper.
Ederson is currently recovering from a broken eye socket injury that forced him to miss City's final two games of the season and has also ruled him out of the 2024 Copa America. body check tags ::
