Manchester City 'put £68m price tag on Raheem Sterling'

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to part ways with Barcelona-linked Raheem Sterling if they receive an offer of £68m for the wantaway winger.

Manchester City have reportedly slapped a £68m price tag on the head of wantaway winger Raheem Sterling.

The 26-year-old has struggled for regular starts under Pep Guardiola this term and recently admitted that he would be open to a move away from the club if the right opportunity presented itself.

City are supposedly keen to keep Sterling on the books amid the transfer speculation, but Barcelona are being heavily linked with a swoop as Ousmane Dembele runs down the final months of his deal.

According to Marca, City do not consider Sterling indispensable, but the Premier League champions are prepared to demand €80m (£68m) to part ways with the attacker.

The report adds that Sterling is keen to leave the Etihad before his deal expires in 2023, but Barca have identified RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo as a potential alternative.

Sterling started just his third Premier League game of the season against Burnley at the weekend and boasts one goal and one assist from 11 matches in all tournaments this term. body check tags ::
