Championship club Hull City have confirmed the signing of Manchester City striker Liam Delap on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old experienced two loan spells in the second tier last season with Stoke City and Preston North End, scoring four goals in 38 appearances.
Delap had previously featured six times for Man City's senior side across four competitions, playing twice in both the Premier League and FA Cup as well as featuring once each in the Champions League and EFL Cup.
The England Under-19 international will continue his development in the 2023-24 campaign with Hull, who secured a 15th-placed finish in the Championship last season.
Delap becomes the Tigers' first signing of the summer transfer window and the striker will join up with his new teammates on the club's pre-season tour of Turkey this month.
Speaking to Hull's official website on Delap's arrival, head coach Liam Rosenior said: "I'm absolutely delighted that Liam is coming here. We've fought off a lot of competition from other Championship clubs and clubs around Europe. He's someone I've known and been aware of for a long time.
"Liam completely fits into the way we play. He's got outstanding physical attributes and is a great finisher. He's got freak speed, is aggressive and can run in behind, which is one of the areas we wanted to address. He's someone the fans will really enjoy watching.
"He's had an amazing education and upbringing at Manchester City. In the right team that plays to his strengths, he can be a real asset and I believe he'll be a real asset for us moving forward."
While Delap is yet make a real impact in front of goal at senior level, the young striker enjoyed plenty of success at youth level with Man City, scoring 35 goals in 36 games for the club's Under-21s side.
Delap's only goal at senior level for the Citizens was on his debut in September 2020 when he found the net in a 2-1 EFL Cup win over Bournemouth.
The Winchester-born attacker could make his Hull debut when they travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City in their opening 2023-24 Championship match on August 5.
