Manchester City are reportedly keen to extend Frank Lampard's loan by a further month until February.
The 36-year-old midfielder joined the Premier League champions earlier this summer on a short-term deal from New York City FC.
Lampard scored his first goal for City on Sunday against former club Chelsea during a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
The England international could now remain at Eastlands until February if fresh terms are agreed by both parties, according to Sky Sports News.
City return to action on Wednesday when they start the defence of their League Cup crown at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
