Manchester City are reportedly prepared to begin talks with Phil Foden over an new contract.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form this season, netting 18 goals and providing 10 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
Foden was rested for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Copenhagen after playing a starring role in last Sunday's Manchester derby.
The England international registered a brace to help his side come back from a goal down to claim a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
With Foden enjoying success on the pitch, Football Insider are reporting that Man City are set to open discussions over a new contract.
Foden still has over three years remaining on his current deal, with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2027.
However, the Man City academy product is hoping to secure a pay rise that would bring him in line with the club's highest earners.
The attacker is reportedly earning around £200,000 a week after signing his most recent contract extension in October 2022.
With Foden looking to extend his stay with the Citizens, there is also a willingness from the club to agree a new deal with one of their most prized assets.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola labelled Foden as the best player in the Premier League right now following his match-winning performance against Man United.
Foden has already made over 250 competitive appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 78 goals and contributing 51 assists.
Although he is still in the early stages of his career, Foden has already won five Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, two FA Cups, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Foden is expected to start when Man City travel to Anfield for Sunday's crucial Premier League encounter with title rivals Manchester City.
The Citizens are currently sitting in second place in the Premier League table, with just a point separating them from leaders Liverpool.
