Manchester City have reportedly made a last-ditch attempt to keep Bernardo Silva at the club.

Silva played an important role for Man City last season, helping the club clinch the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup to become the second English side in history to win the treble.

The midfielder featured in 55 competitive games throughout the 2022-23 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.

Despite have two years left to run on his current contract, Silva has previously admitted that he is open to a new challenge elsewhere.

A recent report claimed that Silva is closing in on a move to the Saudi Pro League after being presented with a lucrative offer.

Silva could follow in the footsteps of Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Ruben Neves, who have all completed moves to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Man City are still keen to retain Silva's services, and they have made one final attempt to prevent him from leaving the club.

According to The Times, the European champions have tabled the 28-year-old with an improved contract offer.

It is currently unclear whether the new contract proposal will be enough to extend his six-year stay with the Premier League champions.

Paris Saint-Germain have renewed their interest in the Portugal international after failing with a €70m (£60.1m) last summer.

The playmaker was close to joining Barcelona in 2020, and the Catalan giants are still admirers of the Man City man.

However, their current financial situation will make it difficult to compete with the PSG and Saudi Arabia on transfer fee or salary.

Silva has made 306 competitive appearances during his time as a Man City player, scoring 55 goals and providing 59 assists. body check tags ::
