Manchester City are still in the running for Champions League glory, but the Citizens will no doubt have one eye on the transfer market as they look to improve their squad this summer.
Pep Guardiola's men relinquished their Premier League title to Liverpool in the most recent campaign, and City have already been active in the transfer market with the acquisitions of Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake from Valencia and Bournemouth respectively.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Monday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester City lower asking price of Nicolas Otamendi?
Following the arrival of Ake on a five-year deal, Nicolas Otamendi appears to have fallen further down the pecking order at the Etihad.
Fernandinho was often preferred as a makeshift centre-back alongside Aymeric Laporte during the most recent campaign, leading to suggestions that Otamendi's time with the Citizens could be coming to an end.
According to The Sun, City have no intention of extending Otamendi's current deal - set to expire in the summer of 2022 - and the Argentine will be allowed to leave for a cut-price figure of £8m this summer.
Napoli and Otamendi's former club Valencia are both rumoured to be keeping a close eye on developments, and the 32-year-old has amassed 11 goals from 210 appearances for City since his arrival in 2015.
Barcelona 'planning player-plus-cash bid for Bernardo Silva'
Bernardo Silva has earned plenty of plaudits during his time at Manchester City, and the Portugal international has been a key player for Guardiola once again during the 2019-20 campaign.
However, the emergence of Phil Foden during the latter stages of the season has hampered Silva's game time, and the 26-year-old was left out of the starting XI against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Friday night.
Despite the fact that Silva has made 52 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions this season, The Telegraph claims that Barcelona are keen to strike a deal for the former Monaco man this summer.
The report suggests that the Catalan giants would not be able to fund a cash-only offer for Silva and are therefore plotting a part-exchange deal for the winger, with defender Nelson Semedo in line to make the switch to the Etihad.
Silva's current deal with Man City will run until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
