Roberto Martinez has revealed that he will discuss Gareth Barry's Everton future with the midfielder at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old - on loan from Manchester City - has established himself as a prominent member in the Toffees side who registered their best ever Premier League points total this season - 69.
Speculation of a move abroad has been touted recently, and Martinez admits that ultimately Barry has the final say on whether or not he wishes to prolong his "footballing chapter" at Goodison Park beyond the summer.
The Spaniard told The Express: "We will talk after the Hull game. I'm sure we will get a straight answer in one way or another.
"It's not about finding a good contract or financial package, it's more about the next footballing chapter and where he can enjoy it.
"He has loved his time at Everton but you don't know where his next step is. He may want to go abroad and experiment with a different culture."
Everton conclude their campaign by facing Hull City at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
