Miralem Pjanic has hinted that he is persuading Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to join Roma this summer.
Dzeko dropped further down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium following the signing of Wilfried Bony in January, and Pjanic is keen for his international teammate to join him in the Italian capital.
The 29-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Inter Milan, while recent reports have suggested that Liverpool are also interested.
"I do speak to Dzeko often and we talk about our respective clubs. It has been a difficult year for him. He's good for any team that he plays for, has won a great deal and I'd love to have him near me again," Pjanic told Roma TV.
Dzeko scored four times in 22 Premier League appearances this season.
