Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that he will attempt to sign another defender before this summer's transfer window slams shut at the end of August.
The Citizens have already spent more than £200m since the end of last season, with Kyle Walker, Danilo and Benjamin Mendy all arriving to boost Guardiola's defence next term.
The Spanish coach, however, has confirmed that he is still in the market for a new centre-back.
"I am happy with John Stones, Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi. We don't have too much more to spend. We have spent a lot because we didn't have a lot of guys," Guardiola told reporters. "But if the market gives us a chance we are going to try to sign [a defender]."
City will continue their preparations for the new campaign with a pre-season friendly against Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in Nashville on Saturday night.
