Midfielder Phil Foden has reportedly moved closer to penning a long-term contract with Manchester City.
Foden has spent the past 16 months as part of the first-team squad at the Etihad Stadium, and the 18-year-old has already made six starts and 14 substitute appearances in all competitions.
The teenager's current deal is due to expire in 2020, but according to The Telegraph, City and Foden are on the brink of confirming a long-term agreement.
Foden has been linked with a switch to a number of clubs in Europe, but the prospect is a boyhood fan of City and has never considered a swift exit from the North-West giants.
The report suggests that an announcement regarding the England Under-17 World Cup winner is not far away.
