Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly expressed his desire to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer.
Pogba, 23, has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs in recent years and City were among those who reportedly tried to sign the French international last summer.
According to Squawka, City are leading the race to poach Pogba as the midfielder believes that Guardiola can help him become the world's best footballer.
Contact is said to have been maintained between the two parties and current Bayern Munich boss Guardiola, who will replace Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad this summer, is thought to have also told City chiefs that Pogba is his top target this off-season.
Pogba, who left Manchester United to join Juve, is under contract in Turin until 2019, so any transfer fee is expected to be around the £80m mark.
