Fiorentina are reportedly the latest team to join the race for Villarreal's much-coveted centre-back Mateo Musacchio.
The 23-year-old has been one of the standout performers in La Liga this season, with his form believed to have attracted interests from across Europe.
Manchester City and Barcelona have both been credited with interest in the Argentine, but according to La Repubblica, Fiorentina are preparing to make a £5m move in the January window.
Musacchio's current deal expires at the end of the season, but it is believed that the Yellow Submarine are in the process of negotiating fresh terms.
