Malaga midfielder Isco has reportedly snubbed a move to Real Madrid in order to link up with Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City.
The 21-year-old has been at the centre of a tug of war between the two clubs in recent weeks, but the Daily Mail reports that a £21m move to the Etihad could be tied up by the weekend.
Isco played a starring role in the Anchovies' run to the quarter-final of the Champions League last season and was also a major part of the Spanish Under-21 side that won the European Championships in Israel.
If he joins the Citizens, he will become the third signing for this summer following the captures of Fernandinho and Jesus Navas.
The former Valencia youngster left the Mestalla for La Rosaleda two years ago.
