Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly made Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero his primary transfer target.
It is believed that Perez has identified the Argentine as the best option to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in attack at the Bernabeu.
However, having committed funds to bring in Casemiro, Danilo, Lucas Silva, Marco Asensio and Martin Odegaard already this year, and with David de Gea expected to arrive from Manchester United shortly, the club may find it difficult to match City's valuation, according to AS.
The report adds that one viable option would be for Los Blancos to sell some of their current players to raise money, including striker Karim Benzema and left-back Fabio Coentrao.
Speaking about his future earlier this week, 27-year-old Aguero insisted that he was "very happy" at the Etihad Stadium.
