Sporting Lisbon are reportedly looking to sign Pedro Porro from Manchester City on a permanent deal.

The Spain international has spent the past two years on City's books but has yet to make an appearance, having been loaned out to Real Valladolid and then Sporting.

Porro has impressed for the Portuguese giants this season and, according to Goal, they want to keep the 21-year-old beyond the end of his loan spell.

The report suggests that Sporting have the right to buy Pedro, who has been used mainly on the right side of midfield this term, for €8.5m (£7.5m).

However, the Lions may face competition from Spanish clubs after the youngster's form earned him a senior debut for the national side against Georgia last month. body check tags ::
