Raheem Sterling is reportedly still awaiting news from Manchester City regarding the offer of a new contract, amid claims that Real Madrid are ready to pounce.
The England international, who has bagged 20 goals for the Citizens in all competitions this term, is about to enter the final two years of his existing deal.
City have yet to begin discussions with the 23-year-old, though, and The Telegraph reports that the forward has been left in the dark as to when talks will get underway.
Sterling, rumoured to have been offered to Arsenal last summer as a makeweight for Alexis Sanchez, is said to be awaiting initial contact from the club as Real - in the market for new attacking options - watch on from the wings.
City have already moved to tie down Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi in recent weeks, but the same report indicates that there is no particular rush when it comes to thrashing out terms with Sterling.
