Manchester City have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes at the end of the season.
The Spanish international will leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer in the summer, with a number of European clubs strongly linked with his services.
It had previously been suggested that Monaco were the favourites for the stopper, but according to L'Equipe, City have moved to the front of the queue for the 32-year-old.
Valdes has been with Barcelona since 1995 – making 533 appearances in all competitions since stepping into the first team in 2002.
