Manchester City defender Micah Richards has insisted that he will take his time before deciding his future.
The 25-year-old failed to qualify for a Premier League winners' medal with City on Sunday after making just two appearances for the club last season.
Richards, who has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool, now intends to assess his options ahead of the next phase of his career.
"We'll see what happens now," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I'll take the summer to think over things. I've been here 11 years, I've enjoyed every minute.
"I don't know what the future holds - we'll see. I just want to thank everyone here for what they've done for me so far. I'll enjoy this then take it from there.
"I'm sure a lot of people hope I stay - but when you games are limited, sometimes you have to do what's best for your career."
Richards has made nearly 250 appearances for City since signing his first professional deal with the club in 2005.
