Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is hopeful that the club will sign a "couple more" players before the transfer window shuts in September.
The former Premier League champions spent £49m on securing Raheem Sterling's services from Liverpool, while fellow Englishmen Fabian Delph and youngster Patrick Roberts have also arrived at the Etihad Stadium.
According to FourFourTwo, when asked by reporters if he was aware of any more signings, Nasri said: "Seriously, I don't know. Ask the manager, ask the director. They are the ones in charge of bringing new players.
"I think that we need some other players. When we see Manchester United, Chelsea, they've bought players as well. So we need a couple of more."
City's fierce rivals United have signed Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin so far this summer.
