Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz is reportedly close to completing a permanent move to La Liga outfit Real Betis.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at the Spanish club, scoring seven goals as they secured Primera Division survival.
However, Santa Cruz will have to significantly reduce his wage demands if he is to push through the move, according to Goal.com.
City are holding out for a fee for their unwanted striker.
