Stoke City are reportedly trying to conclude a deal for Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair.
It was expected that Stoke would not be in the market for any new signings on deadline day.
However, it has been claimed that Peter Odemwingie suffered a potentially serious knee injury during Saturday's 1-0 victory away at City, which has resulted in manager Mark Hughes moving to identify a replacement for the Nigerian.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the player in question is Sinclair, who has failed to establish himself at the Etihad Stadium following his move from Swansea City in 2012.
It is not known yet if Stoke want to sign the 25-year-old on loan or on a permanent basis.
