Barcelona are reportedly close to agreeing a €50m (£42.5m) fee with Manchester City for the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres.
The 21-year-old, who has missed the last two-and-a-half months with a fractured foot, has been heavily linked with a move to the Catalan giants despite their ongoing financial concerns.
According to Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya, a deal for Torres to move from the Etihad Stadium to Camp Nou is "90% done" and his transfer is edging closer to being finalised ahead of the January window.
The report adds that talks are still ongoing between both parties over the total fee, though it is understood that the Catalan giants are prepared to pay €50m (£42.5m) upfront with a further €5m (£4.25m) in add-ons.
It is thought that Barcelona will look to offload either Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele in the winter window to help balance their books and comply with financial fair play regulations.
Torres, who has allegedly informed Pep Guardiola of his desire to move back to Spain, has made 43 appearances across all competitions for City, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists. body check tags ::
