Valencia have reportedly identified former player Nicolas Otamendi as a target for the summer transfer window.

After spending the 2014-15 campaign at the Mestalla, Otamendi was sold to Manchester City, earning the Spanish outfit a profit of £18.2m.

However, according to The Sun, Valencia are keen on a reunion with the centre-back later in 2020.

While the 31-year-old has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, City were open to parting ways with the Argentina international last summer.

Valencia are yet to make any kind of formal approach for Otamendi, who has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
