Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of George Swan.
The 19-year-old, who has recently recovered from a knee injury, has been without a team since he was released by Manchester City at the end of last season.
Speaking about his new addition, Wolves boss Kenny Jackett revealed that the defender would initially link up with the club's Under-21 side.
"He has had a lot of injuries in a young career so far and looks a good player at Under-21 level," Jackett told the club's official website.
"We want to give him that platform now to get over those injuries, which have been extensive, and see if he can come through it and show the potential that he showed previously."
Swan has agreed a contract at Molineux that will expire at Christmas.
