Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is reportedly poised to reject a big-money return to Barcelona.
The 29-year-old, who left the Nou Camp to join City in July 2010, played an instrumental role as Roberto Mancini's side won the Premier League title last season.
According to the Daily Star, Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova was planning a sensational £40m bid for Toure. However, the player, who recently expressed his delight at Mancini's decision to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, is likely to ignore the advances of his former club.
Toure has three years remaining on his current contract.
