Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has urged his club to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
The forward's future at the Etihad Stadium is in doubt after he recently flew back to Argentina without the permission of City manager Roberto Mancini.
The incident comes after the 27-year-old was fined and suspended by the club for allegedly refusing to warm up during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich last month.
"If Tevez arrived in January it would be a success for all because he is a champion soccer player and it would be very positive for the team," Zanetti told Gazzetta Della Sport.
Both players have featured together for the Argentinian national team.
