Chris Smalling has revealed that he wants to establish himself in the England defence in time for Euro 2016.
The Manchester United centre-back was voted Man of the Match on Tuesday evening as he helped the Three Lions to keep a clean sheet in their 2-0 victory against Switzerland in qualifying at Wembley.
Smalling has said that he will be looking to maintain his good form for United to remain in the plans of England manager Roy Hodgson.
"My aim now is the Euros, to try and stay injury free, get a good run of games at my club, come back here next month and go again," he told the Football Association's official website.
"I'm taking each game as it comes but hoping to put a good marker down each time."
Smalling has 18 caps for England.
