Sports Mole looks back at matchday 32 in the Premier League, using a selection of statistics from all 10 games.

As the finishing line at the end of this gruelling Premier League season draws nearer, things are beginning to look a little clearer at both ends of the table.

Chelsea are now within four games of lifting the title that they last laid claim to back in 2010, courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers in a tightly-contested West London derby.

That defeat left the R's stranded in the bottom three, two points off Hull City who themselves came unstuck this weekend in a 2-0 reverse at Southampton.

Leicester City were the big winners among the relegation battlers, grabbing all three points in dramatic circumstances against West Bromwich Albion to move within three points of safety.

Elsewhere, Arsenal's winning run was stretched into an eighth game with a battling 1-0 success away at Burnley, while Manchester United claimed derby-day bragging rights thanks to their impressive 4-2 win over fallen champions Manchester City.

Here, Sports Mole breaks down all the facts and figures from the 32nd matchday in the top flight.

Swansea City 1-1 Everton

Aaron Lennon has now scored two goals in his last three Premier League matches, after failing to do so in his previous 32 appearances - a drought which stretched back to the end of 2013.

James McCarthy registered his first assist in 41 top-flight appearances, with his previous one coming back in December 2013.

Everton scored in consecutive away league matches for the first time since November.

Jonjo Shelvey got his first league goal at the Liberty Stadium since April 2014.

Southampton 2-0 Hull City

Southampton have failed to score before half time in eight of their last 10 Premier League matches, netting once in each of the other two.

Hull had 15 shots in this match, while their opponents had nine.

James Ward-Prowse's penalty was his first top-flight goal.

Graziano Pelle's league goal drought ended at 1,245 minutes.

Sunderland 1-4 Crystal Palace

Glenn Murray has scored six goals and assisted three more in his last six Premier League outings.

Yannick Bolasie became the first player to score a hat-trick for Palace in the top flight. His treble came inside 11 minutes, which is the eighth quickest in the competition's history.

Alan Pardew has won 51 points in the league this season; enough to put him eighth in the table had he been at one club all season.

Since Pardew became Palace manager, only Arsenal (33) have won more points than the Eagles (25).

Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Aston Villa

This was Tottenham's first defeat against Aston Villa in 14 matches across all competitions.

Spurs have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last seven Premier League matches at home.

Since Tim Sherwood took over at Villa, Christian Benteke is the top scorer in the division (eight goals).

Benteke has scored eight goals in his last six league outings. He has now reached double figures in each of his three campaigns in English football.

West Bromwich Albion 2-3 Leicester City

Only Cesc Fabregas (six) has more assists from set pieces this season than Chris Brunt (five).

West Brom are the first Premier League side this season to score 10 goals from corners.

Jamie Vardy has been involved in four goals in his last three matches (two goals, two assists).

The Foxes have netted eight goals in their last three matches - the same total they managed in the previous 10 before that.

West Ham United 1-1 Stoke City

Aaron Cresswell's strike was West Ham's first direct free-kick goal since May 2014.

Stoke have conceded a league-high four goals from direct free kicks. A league-high 45% of their goals conceded this season have been from set-piece situations.

Mark Hughes has lost only one of his last 11 Premier League encounters with Sam Allardyce (W6 D4).

The Hammers have lost a league-high seven points courtesy of goals scored in the 90th minute or later this season.

Burnley 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal have won eight successive league matches for the first time since March 2004. They are the first top-flight side to win eight games in a row this campaign.

Aaron Ramsey, who made his 150th Prem appearance on Saturday, has been involved in five goals in his last four league matches (scored two, assisted three).

Burnley have failed to score in five of their last six league matches, netting once against Manchester City in the other.

The only side to record more victories by a single-goal margin this season than Arsenal (10) are Spurs (13).

Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea scored with their only shot on target of the match. It was the 14th time since 2003 they had one shot on target (12 times) or none (twice) in a Premier League encounter.

The Blues' pass completion in this fixture was 70%, which is their lowest in a league match this season.

Fabregas scored his third top-flight goal of the season, matching his tally in his final league campaign with Arsenal in 2010-11.

Chelsea's goal was their 100th in all competitions this season.

Manchester United 4-2 Manchester City

City conceded four goals in a Premier League match for the first time since losing 4-3 to Manchester United in September 2009.

Man Utd have 65 points - one more than they collected in the whole of 2013-14.

Sergio Aguero clocked up his 100th goal for Man City in his 158th match in all competitions for the club.

Wayne Rooney has assisted 90 goals in his top-flight career. He has scored or assisted 275 goals in total in the competition.

Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle United

Newcastle have picked up six red cards in their last six Premier League encounters with Liverpool.

Joe Allen is the 15th player to score for Liverpool in the league this season. Only in 1992-93 have they had more (16).

Newcastle have conceded 11 goals in their last four away matches.

Jordan Henderson has assisted eight goals in the top flight this season, making this his best ever total in the competition. He has four goals and two assists in his last six league outings.
