Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's crunch match with top-four rivals Manchester United at the Emirates.

Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in a match which could prove pivotal for this season's top-four race.

Finishing in the Champions League places has taken on even greater importance for the Gunners after they fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Rennes in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie on Thursday night.

Just one point separates Unai Emery's side from United ahead of this weekend's showdown, although both teams could start the match outside of the top four should Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the day.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the latest chapter of the Premier League's defining rivalry.

ARSENAL'S INJURY LIST

Hector Bellerin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bellerin suffered ligament damage against Chelsea in January which will rule him out for the rest of the season and could even see him miss the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

Rob Holding

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Holding will also miss the remainder of the season having suffered the same ACL injury as Bellerin during the reverse fixture against United in December.

Danny Welbeck

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Welbeck may well have played his final game for Arsenal having been ruled out until beyond the end of his current contract due to a broken ankle which required two rounds of surgery.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Lucas Torreira

Torreira's appeal against the straight red card he received during last week's North London derby has been rejected, meaning that he will now have to serve a three-match ban beginning on Sunday.
