Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Manchester United will be looking to make it three straight victories in all competitions when they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Red Devils recorded a thumping 4-1 win away to Newcastle United in their last league game on Saturday before beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have therefore won both of their matches since the 6-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur before the international break and will be determined to pick up another three points here.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Chelsea, who have picked up eight points from their first five league games of the season.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Versatile defender Phil Jones has not featured for United since January due to a long-term knee problem, and the Englishman could have played his last game for the club, having been left out of their 25-man Premier League squad.

Edinson Cavani

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Edinson Cavani could have made his debut against PSG on Tuesday night after a two-week isolation period, but the Uruguay international was left in Manchester to continue training. The summer arrival could now be ready to make his first appearance for the 20-time English champions against Frank Lampard's side.

Harry Maguire

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Maguire was not fit enough for Tuesday's clash with PSG after picking up a slight issue against Newcastle at the weekend, but the England international is expected to be available for the match against Chelsea.

Mason Greenwood

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Mason Greenwood has not been involved in United's last two games against Newcastle and PSG due to a knock, but the issue is not believed to be serious, and he could make his return at Old Trafford against the Blues.

Eric Bailly

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. West Bromwich Albion)

Eric Bailly, who has struggled with various injuries throughout his United career, is set to spend the next three to four weeks on the sidelines recovering from a muscular issue.

Jesse Lingard

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 24 (vs. Chelsea)

Jesse Lingard, who is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, did not travel to Paris for Tuesday's Champions League clash due to a knock but could be available for selection this weekend.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Anthony Martial

Status: Out
Possible return date: October 28 (vs. RB Leipzig)

Martial will again serve a domestic suspension this weekend following his red card against Tottenham on October 4.. The ban only applies to domestic games, though, and he will therefore be available for the Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on October 28. Martial's next Premier League appearance, meanwhile, could be against Everton on November 7.
