Christian Eriksen has posted a positive injury update on social media, as the experienced attacker prepares to make his return for Manchester United at some stage in April.
The Denmark international has been on the sidelines since suffering an ankle injury against Reading in the FA Cup towards the end of January.
Speaking ahead of Man United's FA Cup quarter-final with Fulham on Sunday, Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag revealed that the 31-year-old was close to returning to action.
"Yes, some point in April, he will be back. He is doing really well, really good in his rehab. The progress is very good and we have to see how that develops in the coming weeks," the Dutchman told MUTV.
Eriksen has now posted an update on his official Instagram account, with his stories showing his progression from a protective boot to trainers and then finally to football boots.
Speaking after the EFL Cup final at the end of February, Eriksen revealed that he was "feeling well".
"I am feeling well," he told MUTV. "It is always boring to be in a boot and to be on crutches, but I have left the crutches and am now only in a boot, and next week that should be gone then finally start learning to walk. But it feels good.
"It's been nice. Obviously, you want to play. Watching from the stands is more nerve-racking than actually playing, but I kept my calm, and it is nice to see how happy they are. I am just happy that we won the game."
The midfielder has been an important player for Man United since his arrival last summer, featuring on 31 occasions in all competitions, scoring twice and providing nine assists.
Eriksen has provided one goal and seven assists in 19 Premier League appearances, while he has also played 12 times combined in the FA Cup, Europa League and EFL Cup.
Man United have won their last two games against Real Betis and Fulham to advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa League and semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Ten Hag's side will next be in action away to Newcastle United in the Premier League on April 2 before also taking on Brentford and Everton in the league ahead of the first leg of their Europa League last-eight contest against Sevilla on April 13.
As it stands, Man United have eight matches in April, and it is believed that Eriksen could be back in the middle of the month, which would be a huge boost for the team at a key stage of the season. body check tags ::
