Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Curtis Jones will be fit to face Manchester United in Sunday's Premier League battle at Old Trafford.
The England Under-21s international picked up a minor groin problem during the international break and missed clashes with Watford and Atletico Madrid earlier this month.
Klopp is optimistic that Jones can make the squad as he prepares to return to full training, but the Reds boss has confirmed that Thiago Alcantara will not make the cut.
"The squad is alright. We have to see, that's how it is. We are only two days after the game and we have to make sure that we all get fit again, but they are the typical things. I couldn't tell you now who is 100 per cent available and who is not," Klopp told liverpoolfc.com.
"Just what's clear is that Curtis will train today with us the full session, that's the plan. And Thiago not. So, these are the two things I know for the moment."
Liverpool occupy second spot in the rankings ahead of the trip to Man United - one point adrift of leaders Chelsea after eight matches.
