Manchester United duo Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have both withdrawn from the Denmark squad due to injuries that they suffered on Saturday afternoon.

Hojlund left the field in the latter stages of Man United's 1-0 win over Luton Town in the Premier League due to what appeared to be a hamstring problem.

Meanwhile, Eriksen, who has recently regained his spot in the Red Devils starting XI, was forced off the field in the first half of the contest with a knee issue.

Speaking after the game with Luton, Man United head coach Erik ten Hag admitted that he was unsure of the extent of the problems suffered by both players.

"In this moment, I can't comment anything about it because I don't know the assessment," Ten Hag told reporters. "You have to wait 24 hours. Give them and the medical (team) 24 hours to see what is the problem, if there is a problem."

Man United are yet to provide an official update on the status of the pair, but it has been confirmed that both players have withdrawn from the Denmark squad.

Hojlund and Eriksen were set to be involved in their country's Euro 2024 qualification matches against Slovenia and Northern Ireland on November 17 and November 20 respectively.

Denmark are currently second in Group H on 19 points from eight matches, four points ahead of third-placed Kazakhstan and level on points with leaders Slovenia.

Hojlund has been in excellent form during the qualification campaign, scoring seven times, with only Cristiano Ronaldo (nine) and Romelu Lukaku (10) managing more for their respective countries.

Both players are now major doubts for Man United's next match, which comes away to Everton in the Premier League on November 26.

Hojlund is still waiting for his first Premier League goal of the campaign, but the summer arrival from Atalanta BC has netted five times in the Champions League this term.

Anthony Martial is currently the back-up forward at Old Trafford, but a disappointing campaign to date has seen him manage just one goal, which came in the EFL Cup.

Man United are also without the services of Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Amad Diallo through injury.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was absent against Luton through illness, meanwhile, and Jadon Sancho is still not being considered for selection due to his falling-out with Ten Hag. body check tags ::
