Manchester United are reportedly fearful that star midfielder Paul Pogba is facing another two months on the sidelines with a troublesome hamstring injury.
The France international pulled up in the Red Devils' 3-0 win against Basel on September 12 and has not featured in the five matches since.
Jose Mourinho revealed before the international break that, while no timeframe can be given for Pogba's absence, a "long-term" layoff was likely.
According to The Sun, United face being without Pogba until their hectic Christmas programme, ruling him out of key league games against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Pogba, who rejoined from Juventus in a club-record £89m deal last year, has been joined on the injury list by midfield teammate Marouane Fellaini.
