Wayne Rooney had to receive attention from Manchester United's medical staff after sustaining a cut at the back of his head in the first half of the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
The captain clashed with Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany, leaving him with a stream of blood pouring from the back of his head.
The medics quickly closed the wound though, using a staple gun to seal the cut and stop the bleeding:
Rooney returned to the pitch, but was unable to help his side record a shot before half time.
