The January transfer window has now closed, leaving Manchester United to begin looking forward to the summer for their next round of recruitment.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Friday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

David Alaba 'wants to join Chelsea over Real Madrid'

Friday's Man Utd transfer talk: Alaba, Fernandes, Upamecano

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba reportedly favours a move to Chelsea this summer despite suggestions that the Austrian has already agreed to join Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old's contract at the Allianz Arena is due to expire at the end of June, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in his services.

A recent report claimed that Madrid have already agreed a four-year contract with the Austria international, who would officially join Zinedine Zidane's side upon the expiration of his Bayern deal.

However, according to AS, talks between the two parties are not as advanced as suggested, and the player himself is currently leaning towards a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the versatile defender, but Alaba is said to favour a switch to Chelsea ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

The nine-time Bundesliga winner, who is not thought to be target for Manchester City, has made 25 appearances at club level this term.

Manchester United 'make approach for Celtic's Vincent Angelini'

Friday's Man Utd transfer talk: Alaba, Fernandes, Upamecano

Manchester United have reportedly approached Scottish giants Celtic about signing teenage goalkeeper Vincent Angelini.

The 17-year-old, whose father is Italian, is the grandson of Celtic legend David Hay, and he has allegedly caught the eye of several clubs across Europe, with United among those keen to sign him.

TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the youngster is considering leaving Celtic Park in the summer, and the Red Devils have already made an enquiry to sign the goalkeeper.

Both Southampton and Everton, as well as Italian trio Lazio, Atalanta BC and AC Milan, are also all reportedly interested in recruiting the stopper, although it is understood that Angelini would prefer a move to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

The stopper's contract is due to expire this summer and negotiations with Celtic over a renewal have not progressed which means he is likely to leave the club on a free transfer in June.
