Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Monday, December 14.

A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Monday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United 'have rejected Douglas Costa, Miralem Pjanic swaps for Pogba'

Manchester United reportedly rejected Juventus' summer offer to sign Douglas Costa and Miralem Pjanic in exchange for Paul Pogba.

Speculation surrounding the midfielder's future has intensified ever since his agent Mino Raiola claimed that Pogba's time at Old Trafford is "over", with the France international currently tied down to United until 2022.

Despite his agent's comments, Pogba was named in the starting lineup in the Manchester derby on Saturday evening and took to Instagram after the game to reiterate his love and desire to play for the Red Devils.

Juventus are regarded as the favourites to secure their former player's signature should he indeed end up leaving United, and according to Calciomercato, United rebuffed an attempt by the Serie A champions to prise Pogba away from Old Trafford earlier this year.

The report claims that Costa and Pjanic were both offered to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - with Juve unable to fork out a fee of €100m (£91.6m) - but United were not willing to consider a deal.

Pjanic ended up moving to Barcelona in a deal which saw Arthur head in the other direction, while Costa is back at Bayern Munich on a season-long loan.

Manchester United-linked Paulo Dybala responds to contract rumours

Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala has admitted that he has been left frustrated by the recent speculation surrounding his future with the Italian champions.

The 27-year-old only scored his first Serie A goal of the season in Sunday's 3-1 win at Genoa, with the Argentina international largely struggling for form in the early stages of 2020-21.

A recent report claimed that Manchester United could sign Dybala as part of a swap deal for Paul Pogba, who looks set to leave Old Trafford in 2021.

The Juve forward's current deal in Turin is due to expire in June 2022, and the South American has revealed his frustrations when it comes to the constant speculation.

"So many things that aren't true have been said in relation to my contract. My agent was in Turin for a long time and was never called up by the club. It disappoints me to hear talk of invested financial figures," Dybala told Sky Italia.

"It would be better if the truth could be told, because talking about those aspects in this period pits the fans against me, with all the love I have for Juventus."

Dybala has only managed two goals in 12 appearances for Andrea Pirlo's side this season.
