A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Juventus, Barcelona 'to rival Manchester United for Ryan Gravenberch'
Juventus and Barcelona have reportedly joined the race to sign Ajax prospect Ryan Gravenberch.
Despite having only turned 18 in May, Gravenberch is already a first-team regular at the Dutch giants, making a total of 23 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United have recently been linked with a move for the teenager as they consider their options in the transfer market.
However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus are confident of emerging as the frontrunners for the player, who is represented by Mino Raiola.
The Italian champions hold a strong working relationship with the agent, something which was strengthened when Matthijs de Ligt left Ajax for Turin in 2019.
Barcelona are also said to be monitoring the situation ahead of a potential big-money approach in the summer.
Manchester United facing Premier League competition to sign Braga's David Carmo?
Manchester United are reportedly facing competition from at least 10 other clubs in their pursuit of Braga centre-back David Carmo.
The 21-year-old has become a regular starter in the heart of the Braga defence over the past year and already has eight appearances to his name in all competitions this term.
With central defence understood to be an area of concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Red Devils are reportedly contemplating a move for the highly-rated youngster, but United have a fight on their hands to win the race for Carmo's signature.
According to The Athletic, several Premier League sides - including one of United's big six rivals - have all taken a liking to Carmo and are ready to do battle for the Braga man.
However, with Carmo contracted to Braga until 2025, the Portuguese outfit have all the power in negotiations after the defender penned a new deal with his club just last week.
Carmo is understood to possess a £36m release clause in his current contract, though, and United could be tempted into forking out that fee if he carries on performing for Braga.
