Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Tuesday, September 15.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester United eye possible reinforcements.

The Red Devils brought in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo in the final days of the winter window but are still expected to be active in the summer as they aim to restore their former glories.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United 'closing in on Sergio Reguilon deal'

Manchester United have reportedly made progress in their efforts to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.

Having spent the last campaign on loan at Sevilla, it has been claimed that Reguilon would prefer to return to the Europa League winners for a second successive year.

However, Sevilla are now in discussions to sign Porto's Marcos Acuna, a development which effectively clears the way for United to hold less-complicated negotiations with Real.

According to Marca, the 23-year-old is now more inclined to make the switch to Old Trafford, aware that he will not be presented with opportunities at the Bernabeu.

Although a fee of £22.5m has been mentioned, much could depend on whether United are prepared to accept Real's request to include a buy-back option in any deal.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with an approach for the Spaniard.

Gareth Bale 'erased by Real Madrid'

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has reportedly been erased from the Los Blancos squad amid speculation regarding the Welshman's future.

Bale's troubles at Real have been well-documented in recent times, and the former Tottenham Hotspur man has been linked with a move away from Zinedine Zidane's side for several months.

Manchester United are believed to be interested in bringing the 31-year-old back to the Premier League, and the Red Devils may have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Bale.

According to Marca, both Bale and Real are holding out for offers during the transfer window, and Bale is nowhere to be seen in Real's training pictures ahead of the new La Liga campaign.

Owing to a knee injury, Bale has been restricted to work in the gym, but the Wales international has effectively been cut out of the picture at Real and supposedly looks all but set to end his seven-year stint at the Bernabeu soon.

Bale made 20 appearances for Zidane's side across all competitions during the 2019-20 campaign, notching up just three goals.
